At CenterPoint Christian Academy, we are proud to give our students ample opportunity to discover the joy of athletic achievement through competitive sports.
We believe that sports help students to develop confidence, self-esteem, positive relationships, a healthy body, and a healthy mind. Overall, competitive sports help our students to mature in character and leadership abilities, and enrich their lives.
Currently, CenterPoint offers varsity sports that compete in the Inner State Athletic Conference (ISAC).
CenterPoint Christian Academy has a very competitive volleyball team. Our varsity team is open for girls from 7th-12th grade.
The volleyball season starts in mid-August and runs until the end of October. Our girls varsity team has been very successful winning 4 championship banners and 2 MHSAA district tournaments.
This group of girls lead CenterPoint Academy in school spirit. They cheer at boys basketball games and run the pep-rallies throughout the year.
The varsity team has participated in competitive cheer competitions throughout the state of Michigan doing precision drills and stunting. Cheerleading season primarily runs from November through the beginning of March plus pep-rallies.
Cubs Basketball will allow our K through 6th graders to get a small taste of what is it like to play CCA sports.
The Cubs will be playing during a 6-minute interval at halftime of our home games.
Boys and Girls
We have a boys varsity team. We have offered middle school and junior boys basketball in the past and will do so again if there is enough interest. Our boys varsity team has been very successful in the past winning 4 championship banners.
The varsity team currently consists of boys from 7th-12th grade. In the past we have been able to offer a girls varsity team and are hoping to be able to again this next season. Boys and Girls Basketball is offered in the winter from mid-November to the beginning of March.
We offer this opportunity to middle and high school students. Practice begins in late August and we attend 5-6 meets throughout the season.
Middle school students run 2 miles and high school students run 5 kilometers (3.13 miles) at each meet. Our high school students will also compete at regional and state competitions if they advance in the tournament. State finals take place in November.
